Mikumi National Park, located in southern Tanzania, offers accessible and affordable safari experiences with diverse wildlife and open savanna landscapes. The park is known for sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and rich birdlife, especially around the Mkata Floodplain, often called a “mini-Serengeti.” Its proximity to Dar es Salaam makes it a popular choice for short or weekend safaris.
